2019-2020 AfroSolo Arts Festival - 25 Years Strong

"25 Years of AfroSolo"

For a quarter-century, the AfroSolo Arts Festival has played an essential role in nurturing, promoting and presenting art and culture from the African Diaspora through presenting solo performances, the visual and literary arts, and community engagement. Production of the AfroSolo Theatre Company, the 25th AfroSolo Arts Festival, kicked off with a free jazz concert featuring an all-star quintet drawn from AfroSolo alumni. Tammy L Hall is one of this year's featured artists. We look forward to seeing you at the festival.

Mission

AfroSolo's Mission

AfroSolo Theatre Company’s mission is to nurture, promote and present African Americans and art and culture from the African Diaspora through solo performances, the visual and literary arts, and community engagement.   We bring people of different ethnicities together to explore and share the human spirit that binds us all.

Celebrating 25 Years Of Art, Culture, Intellect and Entertainment!

Greetings:

For the past twenty-four years, the AfroSolo Theatre Company has been an ardent member of San Francisco’s vibrant arts ecology. We have passionately pursued our mission to nurture, promote, and present Black art and culture through solo performances, music, forums, workshops, panels, and the visual and literary arts. AfroSolo has received many awards, certificates, trophies, and acknowledgments.
To help celebrate the twenty-fifth anniversary of the AfroSolo Theatre Company and continue our pursuit of artistic excellence, we are launching a fundraiser to celebrate our Silver Anniversary. Our goal is to raise $25,000 -- that is, $1000 to commemorate each year of our history.
The funds will be used to provide performances for under-privileged middle and high school students.
The great news is that we're already $10,000 into our goal, with only $15,000 needed to take us over the top! Any amount you can donate now will be used to explore the bonds that unite all people.

AfroSolo operates under the fiscal sponsorship of "Intersection for the Arts," a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. This means that your donation may be tax-deductible to the extent provided by IRS rules. We welcome your participation to make it happen!
