AfroSolo Arts Festival 2017-Free: AfroSolo In the Gardens

In collaboration with Yerba Buena Gardens Festival, AfroSolo Arts Festival presents its 17th annual free concert in Yerba Buena Gardens "Lovin’ the Horns"featuring: 
• Charles Hamilton, an internationally known jazz trombonist and his musicians; 
• Dr. David Hardiman, Sr., an acclaimed trumpet, flugelhorn player and pianist
Both will perform with their acclaimed quintets.
 

 

 

 


 

 

Visual Arts Exhibit: RESILIENCE-the capacity to recover quickly

In collaboration with San Francisco's Main Public Library we will present a visual arts show entitled: "RESILIENCE." This will be a mixed media show exploring the theme of RESILIENCE. As we move through these challenging times, socioeconomic shifts, through the arts we will explore RESILIENCE.
Our artist will share their perspectives on RESILIENCE and its meaning to our contemporary existence.

 


 

 

African American Art and Culture Complex

The Black Voices Performance Series in a quintessential part of the AfroSolo Arts Festival. Each night four solo artists take to the stage give voice the the unique experience of being Black. A Conference conceived to help these youth (13 to 24) move successfully from youth to adulthood. Conference will consist of performances, workshops, panel discussions, resources table and good health food.
